Enraged by an incident of a visually impaired man being refused to file a police complaint about his lost mobile phone because of his impairment, a group of four friends in their final year of college founded Samay Sancharak, a startup aimed at developing modern compatible technological devices for the visually impaired. The first device developed by Samay Sancharak was a cell phone operating in Braille called Sancharak which enabled users to communicate in Braille via text. What began as a college project has now evolved into a startup with multiple product innovations. The team now plans to create an app that is compatible with Braille and wishes to make the internet accessible to the visually impaired.
